Points

While you only have to attend one GEECS event to be considered a member, there are advantages to being active in the organization.

  • Need to at least have 5 points to run for an E-Board position 

  • Top point earning members will be invited to company dinners, where you’ll get to network one-on-one with recruiters from top companies 

  • Members with the most points will have the opportunity to attend the annual Grace Hopper Celebration—the world's biggest women in tech conference—where you’ll get to network with top companies and attend informative talks and workshops

How to Earn Points

  • Attend Events

    Professional and Social Events are worth one point

  • Join a Committee

    Joining either the marketing, professional, or outreach committees (or multiple) will get you up to 3 points, depending on how active you are

  • Mentorship

    Becoming a mentor/mentee in the GEECS mentorship program
